It is our pleasure to present Within Reach: The Homes for New Jersey Housing Action Plan, which details the policy recommendations that the coalition has made to Governor Jon Corzine and other New Jersey decision makers in order to reach our goal of 100,000 affordable homes within the next 10 years.

Within Reach is a culmination of the efforts of many religious, business, community and other groups that are at the forefront of the effort to provide affordable housing for all New Jerseyans. We thank you and our 250-plus partners for your participation in the policy roundtables last summer and the subsequent e-mails and telephone calls that led to the creation of this paper.

With your support, we hope our work will result in improved public policies, more efficient use of existing resources and, ultimately, more safe, affordable homes for the people in New Jersey who need them.
