As many of you may know, the Policy Committee of Homes for NJ has long been working on possible legislative changes to the state's existing redevelopment laws. We've been crafting a comprehensive proposal that will make the laws governing redevelopment and eminent domain fair and transparent.

Through internal discussions, as well as negotiations between Homes for New Jersey and the League of Municipalities, a strong compromise proposal has been written-and we believe it is ready to go to the legislature.

To move forward, we need your help.

1. We need you to review the online summary of the proposed Revised Redevelopment Law. You can also look at the Draft Bill Statement. The full text of the legislation is available upon request.
2. Please indicate whether or not you support this proposal as soon as possible, but NO LATER THAN MAY 31st at 10 a.m. Email: coordinator@homesfornj.com
3. Your written comments will be distributed and discussed at the next Policy Committee Meeting. Please consider attending our next Policy Committee meeting (where this issue will be discussed in depth) on May 31st in Trenton.
4. Immediately following the 5/31 Policy Committee meeting, Homes for NJ's Executive Committee will take a formal position.
